Bleecker Street Fire Engulfs Bushwick Home, FDNY Says

The top-floor of the three-story home at 98 Bleecker St. caught fire around 3 p.m. Thursday, fire officials said.

BUSHWICK, NY — Hundreds of firefighters were battling a blaze that started on the top floor of a Bushwick home Thursday afternoon, a spokesman for the FDNY said.

The FDNY responded to a fire at the 98 Bleecker St. home, near Central Avenue, at about 3:04 p.m., the spokesman said.

Nearly 206 firefighters worked to put out the second-alarm blaze, which was eventually brought it under control at 4:07 p.m., the FDNY said.
