Bushwick Will Be Home to First-Ever Domino's 'Pizza Theater'

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — Bushwick is in for a real pizza party this weekend when Domino's opens up its first ever "pizza theater" in the neighborhood.

What is a pizza theater, you ask? Well, according to Domino's, it's a store with a lobby and actual indoor seating, unlike at other Domino's locations, which are usually very minimal with zero seating.

The Domino's theater will also have a viewing area where you can watch your friendly neighborhood pizza man make your pizza via the Domino's Pizza Tracker. Plus, you'll be able to track carryout orders electronically on a lobby screen.

There will also be chalkboards in the restaurant for customers to "express their creativity" or leave feedback for their pizza artists. (OK, we made up the "pizza artists" part.)

The new Domino's location will be at 1544 Broadway near Halsey Street. A ribbon-cutting ceremony takes place on Monday Dec. 19 at noon — but before that, on Saturday, Dec. 17, the restaurant will be having a grand opening party complete with a DJ and free giveaways.

Also: Free pizza alert! On Friday, Dec. 23, stop by 1544 Broadway for free pizza slices from noon to 3 p.m.

Domino’s is looking to hire for all positions at the new storefront. Delivery drivers will make $12 per hour, in addition to mileage reimbursement and tips. Scheduling is flexible. Managers will make $13.50 to $14.50 per hour, plus benefits.
