Bushwick Shooting: Cops Looking For 2 Men On Bikes

Cops are looking for 3 men, 2 on bikes, in connection with the shooting where the victim might have been an unintended target, they said.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — Cops are looking for three men, two of whom were on bicycles, in connection with a shooting in Bushwick on Wednesday, they said. The woman shot appeared to have been an unintended target, police sources told Patch.

The 43-year-old woman was shot once in the back while walking on Myrtle Avenue at the border of Bushwick and Bed-Stuy at around 4:30 p.m., police said. The incident occurred at 1419 Myrtle Ave.

Police say two men on bikes fired shots into a parked car, striking the woman, who happened to be walking nearby. A nearby store's surveillance camera caught the woman holding her side and walking to a nearby business for help, Pix11 reported.

Police said there were no arrests, and the investigation was ongoing as of Thursday at 12:30 p.m.
