Bushwick Residents Organize Bus Ride to Washington Women's March

There are only 20 seats left, so hurry up and reserve yours.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — Two Bushwick residents, Nina Keneally and Cibele Vieira, are organizing a bus trip to Washington D.C. on Trump's inauguration day for anyone who is interested in attending the One Million Women March to show the new administration just how much women's rights are human rights.

Keneally and Vieira said there are just 20 seats left in the bus, which is $75 round-trip (covers tips for the drivers). To make your reservation for a seat, Venmo @Nina-Keneally the money. The deadline for buying seats is December 10, 2016.

The Women's March on Washington has over 130,000 interested on the Facebook event. It's mean to "send a bold message to our new administration on their first day in office, and to the world that women's rights are human rights," the event says.

The bus leaves from 24 Wyckoff Ave., near the Jefferson L train stop at 4:00 a.m. sharp. The organizers recommend you arrive 15 minutes in advance. It will return at approximately 11:30 p.m.

"We felt it vital to make our voices heard and our faces seen. How better than to assemble with other Americans in our nation's capital on inauguration weekend?" Keneally told Bushwick Daily.

Everyone — all genders, sexes, etc. — is welcome at the march and on the bus, the women said. More information can be found here.
