Cinco De Mayo 2017: Where To Celebrate In Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — May the Fifth (of tequila) be with you ... and all of the new friends you’ll make bouncing around Brooklyn on Cinco De Mayo this Friday. Don’t drink a bottle of tequila by yourself. Please.

Mexrissey Concert

• Where: Brooklyn Bowl, 61 Wythe Avenue
• Neighborhood: Williamsburg
• When: Happy Hour begins at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 9 p.m.
• What: Mexican music and happy hour margaritas that cost five bucks.
• How Much: $25 gets you in the door

Cinco De Mayo Karaoke Party

• Where: Humboldt & Jackson, 434 Humboldt Street
• Neighborhood: East Williamsburg
• When: 9 p.m.
• What: As the name suggests, it’s karaoke on Cinco De Mayo. Pretty much sums it up.
• How Much: Free

Cinco De Mayo Pinata Party

• Where: Dromedary Tiki Bar, 266 Irving Avenue
• Neighborhood: Bushwick
• When: 5 p.m.
• What: Discounts on Tecate, tequila, tacos and more. Plus piñatas.
• How Much: As much as your wallet and liver will allow.

Cinco de Mayo Feast

• Where: Gran Electrica, 5 Front Street
• Neighborhood: DUMBO
• When: All night
• What: Discounted drinks to go with Mexican street food-inspired cuisine.
• How Much: As much as you want to buy.

Santana Tribute Concert

• Where: BAM Cafe, 30 Lafayette Avenue
• Neighborhood: Fort Greene
• When: 9 p.m.
• What: Black Rock Coalition Orchestra performs their tribute to Carlos Santana.
• How Much: Free.

Cinco De Mayo Fiesta

• Where: Sunset Park Playground, Sixth Avenue at 44th Street
• Neighborhood: Sunset Park
• When: 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
• What: Family-friendly games, arts and crafts and performance.
• How Much: Free.

Cinco De Mayo Happy Hour and Live Music

• Where: Fonda, 434 7th Avenue
• Neighborhood: Park Slope
• When: Happy hour from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. and live music from 8 p.m. - 9 p.m.
• What: This restaurant will be serving special tequila cocktails and avocado cheesecake all night.
• How Much: $10 for the special tequila cocktail.

Cinco De Mayo Cocktails And Hot Cheese

• Where: Alta Calidad, 552 Vanderbilt Avenue
• Neighborhood: Prospect Heights
• When: Happy hour from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. and live music from 8 p.m. - 9 p.m.
• What: Come here for the "Queso & Cocktails" special — one Deleon tequila margarita and one order of Queso Fundido (hot melted cheese!) for $10.
• How Much: As many margaritas and hot cheese plates as you can hold, times 10.
