L train service had returned to normal by 5:30 p.m., albeit with delays, according to the MTA. For the three hours prior, trains had been skipping all stations between Myrtle-Wyckoff (in Bushwick) and the Atlantic Avenue station (in East New York) in both directions.
Fox5 reporter Stacey Delikat tweeted a photo of a sardine-packed crowd of L train riders waiting to board at the 14th Street-Union Square station Tuesday evening.
