
During the blizzard last week, Mayor Bloomberg announced a blood shortage in New York City. The streets were so clogged with snow that some blood drives were cancelled, and a statement issued from Public Advocate Bill de Blasio's office called on all New Yorkers to donate.
You can help by donating locally on Saturday. New York Blood Center is hosting a blood drive at on Clinton and Clinton streets.
Between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. drop by the Parish Hall, and bring your ID with you.
