John Khoury, longtime South Brooklyn resident, loved his neighborhood so much he wrote a book about it! "Go Sit On Your Own Stoop: Stories of Growing up in Brooklyn in the 70s" is about Khoury's experiences. According to a press release Khoury was: "...instantly captivated by stunning brownstones, omnipresent smell of freshly baked bread and the neck-snapping sight of crotchety old women returning home from the butcher dressed in nothing but smocks, pink curlers and a lip dangling Pall Mall." Stop by the on Saturday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to meet Khoury and reminisce about the good old days.
