Man Beaten Unconscious on G Train Platform; Police Hunt for Suspects
Near the border of Gowanus and Carroll Gardens.

The NYPD released photos on Tuesday of a group of 18- to 20-year-olds suspected of beating a man unconscious on the subway.
The assault allegedly occurred on the
G and F Train platform at the Smith-Ninth Street station, which straddles the border between Gowanus and Carroll Gardens.
On Sunday, July 12, around 9:50 p.m., police say the victim ”became involved in a verbal altercation with the suspects” at the station.

“The altercation escalated into the suspects beating the victim until he became unconscious,” says a police statement on the incident. ”The suspects then fled the location.”
The victim was rushed to Methodist Hospital in Park Slope, where he was listed in stable condition.
