Pork Belly and Fried Egg Sandwich from Brucie
This was an intensely flavorful sandwich.

is known for wild concoctions. Remember the Brucie's chef, Zahra Tangorra, is adventurous, to say the least.
So I was prepared for something different when I ordered the pork belly sandwich, but I wasn't prepared for just how well the disparate flavors would meld together. The pork belly was crispy and charred on the outside, and rich and flavorful on the inside. On top of that was a fried egg, and on top of that a smattering of sriracha.
And on the other side of the pork belly? Vinegar peppers, which held the whole vision together. The sour bite of the pepper cut through the fat of the pork belly, and the airy and flavorful sesame seed roll added the perfect simple flavor, providing balance.
