Seafood Okowa from Hibino

Presentation is everything.

Diners choose because its much more than a sushi spot. Sure, the , but Hibino also boasts a menu of obanzai that change daily. The small dishes, often reflecting what is in markets at that time, must be sampled each time you stop in.

On a recent visit, we tried the seafood okowa obanzai. Steamed sticky rice was packed inside a lotus leaf box, with wonderful bites of cuttlefish, edamame and shitake mushroom accenting each bite.

It was a small treat, inside a tiny box, but the flavor was big.
