1. Ever wonder if those lottery machines in supermarkets were worth trying? Well, some lucky person thought so, a third-prize winning ticket worth $50,000 in the April 2, Powerball drawing was purchased at the Riverhead ShopRite supermarket. An estimated figure of $231 million is the jackpot for the April 4, drawing. (RiverheadLOCAL)
2. Early Friday morning, a fire broke out at a car lot on Peconic Avenue in Medford just before 2 a.m., damaging between 40 and 45 vehicles. The blaze was so large, it drew firefighters from the Yaphank, North Patchogue, and Farmingville fire departments. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. (Patch)
   
3. On Saturday, just after 9 p.m., someone was stabbed on the Long Island Rail Road, Brentwood Station platform, in Islip. The victim was taken to the hospital for none life-threatening injuries, no one was identified or arrested. (New York Post )
4. Governor Kathy Hochul announced where to get your second booster shot at state-run vaccination sites. For Suffolk County residents: Stony Brook Family Medical Group, 181 N Belle Mead Road East, Setauket.
