1. The MTA is not so quick to let your masks down. The MTA plans to keep the course by following the CDC mask mandate on trains, despite a federal court ruling on Monday. So, what does that mean for Long Island travelers? The Long Island Rail Road is not ready to make any changes for commuters. So don't be so quick to get rid of your mask just yet. (Patch)
2. Spring is a great time for a wellness check! On Saturday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Meadow Club in Port Jefferson, the annual Port Jeff Health & Wellness Fest will be held in person! The event features over 60 health and wellness professionals that will advise the community on healthier habits. Visit and be on your way to a healthier day! (Stony Brook News)
3. The Fourth of July Grucci fireworks display and concert at Bald Hill will be back this year for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic. Concerts will run from May 28 to Sept. 17. (Patch)
