1. Recently, Long Island's minimum wage went from $14 to $15, unfortunately, raging inflation has swallowed the increase. Many full-time workers in the region relying on food stamps and food pantries to survive. (Subscription: Newsday)
2. According to a news release, starting on Friday, FLIP Circus is set to hit Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove for a week-and-a-half. The show's theme, "enduring human spirit", was created by the Vazquez family to celebrate the American circus tradition. Tickets start at $25 for children and $40 for adults with discounts available when purchasing online. (Smithtown Patch)
3. According to prosecutors, on Tuesday, Jhonny Contreras, 28, of Brentwood, a member of the deadly MS-13 street gang pleaded guilty in federal court to his role in three murders between 2013 and 2015. Officials said, when sentenced, Contreras faces a maximum sentence of life in prison. (Patch)
4. New York Attorney General Letitia James urged New Yorkers to be on the lookout for unfair pricing on baby formula to report dramatic price increases to her office. New Yorkers should report potential concerns about price gouging to OAG by filing a complaint online or call 800-771-7755. (Patch)
