1. Man shot dead outside Moriches home. Moriches. Tyrell Durham, 37, was shot outside his Tall Oaks Circle home around 1 a.m., police said. Durham was pronounced dead at Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. (Center Moriches-Eastport Patch)
2. First chance of snow sneaks into Long Island forecast: If you are hitting the road Sunday, you may want to do it earlier in the day. Forecasters are watching a low pressure system that could bring the first snowflakes of the season to Long Island.
