1 Man Bitten, 1 Man Punched In Central Park Attacks, Police Say

Two people were hospitalized after two overnight attacks in Central Park, police said.

CENTRAL PARK — Two men were attacked by the same perpetrator in Central Park early on Monday, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, an 18-year-old was grabbed by the neck, kicked and punched inside Central Park at 1:30 a.m. Monday at 82-01 East Drive, which is near the Harlem Meer.

Then, the perpetrator punched and kicked a 37-year-old man before biting his ear near 93 West Drive, which is near the Upper West Side's 97th Street entrance, police said.

Both victims were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition with minor injuries, police said.

Police are investigating the two connected attacks, and no official charges have been released, as of Monday at 3 p.m.
