The Big Apple could see its first accumulating snow on the ground this weekend, forecasters say.

NEW YORK CITY — There have already been some light flurries in the Big Apple, but this weekend, New York City could see as much as three inches of snow sticking to the ground, as a fast-moving clipper storm moves across the area, according to the latest forecast.

Between one and three inches of snow could fall on Saturday night into Sunday morning, forecasters at the National Weather Service said.

"The first accumulating snow of the season is expected Saturday night into Sunday morning, where a few inches of snow would result in hazardous travel conditions," forecasters from the National Weather Service said.
