First Snow Of Season Falls In NYC
Polar air and an overnight freeze brought the city's first flurries of the season Tuesday.

NEW YORK CITY — Polar winds are bringing a dusting of snow flurries to parts of the Big Apple Tuesday, marking the first snow of the season, forecasters said.
The frigid air overnight on Tuesday was the coldest of the season so far, bringing with it wind gusts of up to 40 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
Flurries were spotted in Central Park early in the morning around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, and are predicted to dust parts of the city throughout the day until 4 p.m.

No accumulations are in store, forecasters said.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said they expect temperatures to hover around the upper 30s and lower 40s, with wind chills staying in the 30s.

"Temperatures will be well below normal as daytime highs only rise mainly from the upper 30s to lower 40s with forecast wind chills staying in the 30s for the afternoon," Forecasters at the National Weather Service said.
"Clouds will be increasing as well with a few possible rain and/or snow showers for late morning into the afternoon."
Things will be closer to normal November temperatures as we head into the weekend. It will get the warmest on Sunday, though there will also be a chance of rain.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of snow showers before 4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. West wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.
Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36. West wind 9 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 49. Southwest wind 8 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 40. West wind around 8 mph.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52. West wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 39.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 50.
Friday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 34.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 47.
Saturday night: A 30 percent chance of rain after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39.
Sunday: A 40 percent chance of rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 53.
Sunday Night: A 30 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44.
