On Monday, between 2 p.m. and midnight, two inches of rain per hour is possible in New York City, forecasters warned.

Though the storm will taper off after midnight on Monday, the atmosphere will remain unsettled the rest of the week, with chances of rain and thunderstorms through Friday, according to the latest forecast.
