Man's Body Found In Sailboat Pond
The man was found floating in the Conservatory Water, also knowns as the "Sailboat Pond" near 74th Street Sunday morning.
CENTRAL PARK, NY — A man's body was found in a Central Park pond Sunday morning, according to the NYPD.
Police received a call shortly before 8 a.m. for a male who was floating in the water, an NYPD spokesman told Patch. The man is believed to be in his 20s or 30s and was found in the Conservatory Water, also known as the Sailboat Pond, near 74th Street.
The pond is shallow and commonly used for sailing model boats.

EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead shortly after 8 a.m.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Further information was not immediately available.
In May, two bodies were found in the park within two days of each other. A decomposed body was pulled out of Central Park's Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis reservoir, between 86th and 96th streets, on May 9 and the next day an adult male was found floating in the waters at Swan Lake near Fifth Avenue and 59th Street.
The NYPD said the discovery of the two bodies was not connected and there was no criminality.
