Outdoor Film Screenings Return To Central Park In August

Three films will be screened during this year's Central Park Conservancy Film Festival.

CENTRAL PARK, NY — Summer in New York City means that parks all around the city will be hosting activities through the nights. Central Park is no different — it may be a world-renowned tourist attraction, but it's still a city park.

The Central Park Conservancy Film Festival will return to the park's Sheep Meadow in August to host three free film screenings in a one-week span. The festival will kick off on Tuesday, Aug. 13 with a showing of the 1985 classic "Back to the Future," Central Park Conservancy officials said.

The next two nights will feature the Cher-led romantic comedy "Moonstruck" and Ryan Coogler's superhero hit "Black Panther."
