5 Victims In Deadly Taconic Head-On Crash ID'd By State Police
A 2014 Ram ProMaster traveling south, crossed the center median, and collided into a 2024 Honda Accord traveling north, according to NYSP.

NEW CASTLE, NY — The victims of a fatal head-on crash in Westchester County have been identified by officials.
On Wednesday, around 4:46 p.m., the New York State Police were called to a serious vehicle crash on the Taconic State Parkway, in the Town of New Castle. The head-on collision between two vehicles resulted in four fatalities and one of the drivers seriously injuried.

An initial investigation found that a 2014 Ram ProMaster van driven by 50-year-old Yader A. Reyes, of Long Branch, New Jersey, was traveling south, when it crossed the center median into the northbound lanes.
The van then collided head-on with a 2024 Honda Accord driven by 45-year-old Robert Violante, of Granite Springs, who was traveling in the northbound passing lane.

The impact of the collision caused the van to overturn and catch fire, according to NYSP.
Three passengers in the Ram ProMaster, identified as 20-year-old Odenis Balladares Martinez, of Neptune, New Jersey; 34-year-old Harrison Mauricio Reyes Rivera, of Long Branch, New Jersey; and 45-year-old Bryan Aguilar Castillo, of Asbury Park, New Jersey, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Violante was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the van, Reyes, remains hospitalized in critical condition at Westchester Medical Center.
The investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing, according to state police.
