9th Annual Chappaqua Children's Book Festival Spins Quite The Yarn
One of the largest children's book festivals in the country will be right here in the Hudson Valley this weekend.

CHAPPAQUA, NY — The largest annual children's book festival in the tristate area is happening this weekend and some of your family's favorite children's authors will be there.
The Chappaqua Children's Book Festival (CCBF) will be back this Saturday, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., at the Chappaqua train station. This year's festival is predicted to be the biggest one yet, with up to 9,000 visitors and 160 authors (new and returning) attending.
The festival promotes community, literacy and a return to normalcy, according to organizers. Authors will represent several different genres and reading levels. Events will include author readings, illustration demos, book signings, books for sale and a family fun zone.

This year's theme is "A Walk Through The Woods," inspired by Hudson Talbott's poster art for the festival this year. Talbott is the author/illustrator of 27+ boooks, including the recent "A Walk In The Woods."
From the 65 authors present at the first CCBF in 2013, the event has grown to 160 authors this year, including Nick Bruel (Bad Kitty series), Victoria Kann (Pinkalicious series), Michael Rex (Goodnight Goon), Dan Gutman (The Genius Files series), Joyce Wan (Peek-A-Boo series) and Hudson Warm (the youngest author this year, Academy for the Gifted).
"There is real magic in meeting the people behind the stories your family loves and learns from," the organizers said.
Visitors are expected from throughout the tri-state region. Admission and parking are free. The event will be rain or shine.
