Benefit Shop Foundation To Host 1st Pop-Up Clothing Sale This Weekend

MOUNT KISCO, NY — If you want to look like a million bucks without spending a million bucks, while helping out a worthy cause, we have some good news for you.
The Benefit Shop Foundation Inc. in Mount Kisco will be holding its first ever Pop-Up Fashion Charity Sale this weekend with over 2,000 fashion items, many with the tags still on.
Why schlep to the spring flea markets in Brimfield, or in Manhattan with entry lines around the block, when you can shop for vintage clothing much closer to home?

There will be a wide variety of men's and women's clothing, from formal to casual, from street to chic, on Friday, May 17, and Saturday May 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The pop-up will be located at 185 Kisco Avenue, Suite 101.
Organizers say that if you’ve ever wished to cherry-pick the closets of the most well-dressed Manhattanites and Greenwich residents, this sale will be the place to be.

"From trendy to comfortable, we will have clothes from every decade in every size. This is a great opportunity to make room in your closet, renew your spring style, and support a great cause," said Pam Stone, founder and president of the Benefit Shop Foundation.
She explained that proceeds from the sale will benefit dozens of area non-profit groups that she partners with.
Dresses, tops, coats, menswear, athleisure, handbags, gloves, shoes, belts, ties, and sunglasses will be part of the sale.

Designer and brand names at the sale wll include Burberry, Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, Prada, Bergdorf, Fendi, Armani, Ralph Lauren, Versace, Ferragamo, Vince, Missoni, Etro, Moschino. Items from Madison Ave.’s most famous designers will be featured in a boutique and designer section, in addition to boutique French and Italian brands.
Rare items from popular retro graphic tees to Palm Beach vintage will be up for grabs at the pop-up, along with items not found in most department stores. A featured highlight will be a large collection of of vintage and Y2K clothing.

Prices also will be a fraction of what vintage shops in Manhattan charge, with most items on the first day priced at $5 and $10, and items 50 percent off on the second day.
The Benefit Shop Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports local charities through the sale of donated items. The foundation's mission is to "provide financial assistance to local non-profit organizations that are working to make a difference in our community."
