CareMount Medical Appoints New Director of Value-Based Programs

CareMount Medical (formerly The Mount Kisco Medical Group), a multi-specialty medical group practice serving Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Columbia and Ulster Counties in N.Y., is proud to announce the appointment of Peter J. Kelly, MBA as the director of value-based programs.

In his new position, Mr. Kelly will assist Kevin Conroy, CareMount’s chief financial officer and chief population health officer, with expanding the group’s risk contracting and population health capabilities.

“Mr. Kelly has a strong track record of managed care program development and execution,” said Mr. Conroy. “His deep understanding of insurance contracting, payment reform, and his experiences to date working directly with CareMount physicians will enhance our growing Population Health team.”

Most recently, Mr. Kelly was an executive director of market operations at Universal American Corp., a New York-based Medicare Advantage and ACO management company, with operational responsibility for New York-based Medicare Advantage plan and ACO businesses. For the past three years, Peter also served as the executive director of CareMount’s Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) ACO partnership with Universal. Previously, he served as senior manager for Avalere Health, a Washington D.C.-based consulting firm specializing in healthcare business strategy.

Peter J. Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Princeton and an MBA from The Wharton School. He resides in Bronxville, N.Y. with his wife and two children.
