DAR Chapter Marches in 2025 New Castle Memorial Day Parade
(Chappaqua, NY) Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR remembers those who sacrificed their lives in service to our nation on Memorial Day.
The members of Polly Cooper, a local chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), marched and handed out U.S. flags during the 2025 New Castle Memorial Day parade. The chapter marched in honor of and to remember the military personnel throughout our nation’s history who gave their lives for our country and freedom. Today, we thank and honor those United States service members and their families for their sacrifices.
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), a non-profit, non-political women’s service organization, was founded in 1890 to preserve the memory and spirit of those who contributed to securing American independence. With approximately 3,000 chapters worldwide, DAR is one of the world's largest and most active volunteer service organizations. To learn more about the work of Today's DAR, visit dar.org.
DAR members volunteer millions of service hours annually in their local communities. Polly Cooper Chapter’s service has included literacy initiatives, historic preservation, conservation, veterans and active-duty service members, genealogy research, naturalization ceremonies for new citizens, and more.
