DOT: Lane Closures on Taconic for Nov. 15-16
Lane closures in New Castle to Yorktown, will take place from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. for construction activities.
The New York State Department of Transportation will be conducting lane closures on the northbound Taconic State Parkway between Pinesbridge Road in New Castle and Underhill Avenue in Yorktown on Thursday, Nov. 15 and Friday, Nov. 16 for construction activities.
Weather permitting, the lane closures will occur between 5 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day, DOT officials said.
Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the work area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including variable message signs, work zone signs and flaggers. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of the driver’s license, DOT officials said.
