Found: Julissa Reyes Was Located Safe and Healthy in Ossining

"We had a happy ending," said Croton Detective Paul Camillieri, reporting that Julissa Reyes, 17, who had gone missing from her Croton home since Saturday night has been found Thursday afternoon in Ossining.

"She was in good shape, in good health, and not the victim of any crime," he said.

Camillieri said an anonymous caller told police around 3 p.m., Nov. 21 they saw Reyes walking in Ossining. She was picked up by the Village of Ossining police and brought to Croton headquarters.

There she was released to her father. When asked what she had been up to and where she might have been, Camillieri said, "this was not the time to interrogate her."

Camillieri said in the course of the nearly five days she was unaccounted for, police checked in multiple times of day with her father and family members. He said many people saw her picture on Patch and reached out wanting to help. "It was great," he said.

Police believe she might have been in Ossining for the duration, "but that's not to say she didn't move around any."
