Hillary Clinton Spotted on Hike In Chappaqua After Election Loss
A woman in Chappaqua apparently had a chance encounter with the Democratic nominee.
Forty-eight hours ago, Hillary Clinton was gearing up for what was expected to be a landslide win in a history-making presidential election. Instead, she lost in a stunning upset to Donald Trump. Outside of a short concession speech she made in Manhattan on Wednesday morning, we haven't heard much from Clinton since then.
Millions of her supporters are in despair. Today, however, Clinton lifted the spirits of an ardent supporter who crossed paths with her on a hike in the woods.
In a Facebook post by Margot Gerster, Gerster says she was in the woods near Chappaqua trying to clear her head from the election when she ran into the Clintons, who were, apparently, trying to do the same. Clinton was on a hike with her husband, Bill, and their dogs.

"Ive been feeling so heartbroken since yesterday's election and decided what better way to relax than take my girls hiking," Gerster wrote. "So I decided to take them to one of favorite places in Chappaqua. We were the only ones there and it was so beautiful and relaxing."
Then, Gerster wrote, she got a surprise.

"As we were leaving, I heard a bit of rustling coming towards me and as I stepped into the clearing there she was, Hillary Clinton and Bill with their dogs doing exactly the same thing as I was," Gerster continued.
"I got to hug her and talk to her and tell her that one of my most proudest moments as a mother was taking Phoebe with me to vote for her. She hugged me and thanked me and we exchanged some sweet pleasantries and then I let them continue their walk. Now, I'm not one for signs but I think ill definitely take this one. So proud. #iamstillwithher #lovetrumpshate #keepfighting#lightfollowsdarkness"
Bill was not in the picture. We'd like to imagine he was the one who took the photo.
We've reached out to Gerster on Facebook for more information, and we'll let you know when we hear back.
Gerster's post does not allow for it to be embedded on other websites, but a friend-of-a-friend re-shared it:
Honestly, doesn't look like such a bad life.
