Man Killed By Metro-North Train ID'd As 42-Year-Old From Chappaqua

The Westchester man was hit by a Harlem Line train at the Chappaqua train station around 9 a.m. on Friday, according to the MTA.

CHAPPAQUA, NY — A Westchester man whose life ended tragically at the Metro-North station has been identified.

The 42-year-old was killed early Friday morning after he was hit by a Harlem Line train at the Chappaqua station, an MTA spokesperson told Patch.

The man, identified as David B. Gerrard, was hit by a train while trespassing on the tracks at approximately 9 a.m.

The incident resulted in approximately 10-15 minute delays, with Harlem Line service returning to on or close to schedule at around 11 a.m., MTA officials said.
