Mount Kisco Post Office Reopens After Car Careened Through Entry

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds, but an SUV crashing into the Mount Kisco Post Office kept the doors closed on Wednesday.

Firefighters from the Independent Fire Co. #13 were dispatched to the post office after an SUV crashed into the building. The occupant of the vehicle was evaluated by Mount Kisco EMS, but no serious injuries were reported.

The building department was called to check the structure before the SUV could be safely removed. The Mount Kisco Post Office remained closed to the public on Wednesday, but reopened on time on Thursday morning.
