Why are you seeking this office?

I decided to run because I am unhappy with the current administration in our village. I decided to step up in order to work towards improving our community instead of sitting back and complaining.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidate(s) seeking this post?

I have no future aspirations in political office. I am simply trying to do what is best for my community.

What is the single most pressing issue facing your constituents and what do you intend to do about it?

Truth and Transparency regarding current Village issues. I plan to be as open and transparent with all residents regarding all the issues.

How would you address the affordable housing issue in the community?

We currently have access to affordable housing in our community. We have the most varied and affordable housing in our municipality. We could work to help assist those who are disadvantaged within our community.

How would you protect the drinking water in the community?

I would keep access to our water systems limited as to protect our water. I also believe there should be some patrols available as another form of protection.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

I believe we need to work to protect our green spaces, improve pedestrian and traffic safety, institute protective codes for cellular infrastructure and address homeless in our village.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have effectively supported various students and staff while working to ensure students met state standards. As an educator I often wore many hats and was able to remain effective. I mentored incoming teachers in order to provide support to new staff. I was instrumental in the grassroots efforts to Save Leonard Park even after it was said to be a done deal. I helped to create the grassroots efforts by gathering neighbors to create a network of diverse people that worked together to stop the installation of a cell tower in Leonard Park. I am currently a member of the Climate Smart Committee where we work together to develop ways to improve upon the negative impacts of climate on our village.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

The best advice I was given was to be true to myself.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

As an educator with over 10 years of experience as a classroom teacher and my involvement with social organizations prove my commitment to serving others. My role in the Save Leonard Park movement proves my commitment to my community and my ability to educate my self on town matters. My experience building a network of diverse people and opinions prove I can effectively represent and collaborate.
