The Polly Cooper Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was proud to once again participate in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk held at the Manhattanville University campus in Purchase, NY on October 19, 2025.

Every chapter and individual members of the Daughters of the American Revolution are encouraged to engage in meaningful service projects in their local communities each year on or around October 11 to honor the anniversary of DAR’s founding on October 11, 1890.

The Polly Cooper Chapter is proud to participate in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. It is a wonderful way to honor our members, family members and friends who have been directly affected by a diagnosis of breast cancer.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a non-competitive 3 to 5 mile walk that helps raise funds for and awareness of breast cancer. Making Strides has grown into the nation's largest breast cancer movement. Communities across the country hold Making Strides events to provide awareness and support for breast cancer survivors, those who are currently managing breast cancer,diagnoses, caregivers and family.
