CHAPPAQUA, NY — The Horace Greeley High School will get a new school leader starting Aug. 30, according to Chappaqua Central School District Superintendent Christine Ackerman.

Putnam Valley High School Principal Sandra Sepe, a graduate of Marist College, SUNY New Paltz and Manhattanville College’s doctorate educational leadership program, will replace Greeley’s Principal Andrew Corsilia, who will transition to an Ast. Superintendent for Human Resources and Leadership Development role, according to the school district.

"I am absolutely thrilled to be working with Sandy again and look forward to welcoming her to Greeley,” Ackerman said in a statement. “She has the skills, experience, expertise, and knowledge which make her the right choice for this important position."

For seven years Sepe used her role at Putnam Valley High to foster a positive school culture and mobilize stakeholders around a unified vision, according to the Chappaqua Central School District. Before working at Putnam, she was a principal at Millbrook High School, the assistant principal of Dobbs Ferry High School and she taught social studies, as well as advanced placement courses.

Sepe went through a rigorous screening process that included small committee interviews with the central administration; large committee interviews with parents, students, Board of Education members and staff; a writing sample, and a site visit to Putnam Valley High School, added the school district.
