Rhodadendron Reopens in Pleasantville

After five years, the Chappaqua boutique has moved to nearby Pleasantville.

Citing a need for more space, but while still maintaining its loyal customer base, five-year Chappaqua staple Rhodadendron has found new digs in Pleasantville.

"Business was growing and we needed to find a space to allow our business to grow," explained Rhoda Gennarelli, the shop's owner.

Ready-to-wear pieces have been increasingly in demand, she added, and having space for two dressing rooms in the store was also a plus.

"We wanted to situate ourselves in a location where we could maintain our customer base," Gennarelli shared. "We wanted a bigger store where we could have it all."

Rhodadendron's loyal clients come from Briarcliff Manor, Pleasantville, Chappaqua, Thornwood, Hawthorne, Ossining and all over Westchester, she said.

Aside from clothing, the store also carries a large variety of jewelry, scarves, hats, belts, wallets, bags and other trendy accessories.

Rhodadendron officially opened at 73 Wheeler Ave. on Saturday, Pleasantville Day, and the reception has been positive so far.

"The reaction has been phenomenal," said Gennarelli.

Rhodadendron is open Monday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
