The show follows the story of an ogre, Shrek, who lives in a swamp far from the mainland and enjoys his privacy. All of a sudden, his swamp is flooded with the banished fairytales who were cast out by Lord Farquaad, a little guy with big ambitions. Shrek goes off to confront Lord Farquaad and alongside him is a comedic donkey. Once the two come face to face with the tiny terror, Farquaad assigns them the task of rescuing Princess Fiona and in exchange, he will remove all of the fairytales from his swamp. The rest of the story is filled with romance and twists, it’s an overall fun family show that contains powerful messages.
