Traffic Alert: 2 Lanes Of The Taconic Will Be Closed On Tuesday

The roadway repair work is scheduled to take place between New Castle and Yorktown during the morning and early afternoon.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — A stretch of the Taconic will be a little trickier to navigate on Tuesday, according to the NYDOT.

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) said two lanes of the southbound Taconic State Parkway are expected to close between Exit 11 (State Route 134) in Yorktown and Exit 8 (State Routes 100/133) in New Castle for roadway repairs.

The closures will take place on Tuesday, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., weather permitting.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a driver's license suspension.
