Traffic Alert: Lanes Of Taconic Will Be Closed This Week
The bridge maintenance work is scheduled to take place Wednesday through Friday, in the Town on New Castle.
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — A stretch of the Taconic will be a little trickier to navigate for the rest of the the work week, according to the NYDOT.
The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) said single lane closures are expected along the Taconic State Parkway southbound between Exit 11 (State Route 134) and Exit 8 (State Routes 100/133) in the Town of New Castle for bridge maintenance. The closures will take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., weather permitting.
The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a driver's license suspension.
