Chelsea Shooting: Surveillance Footage Released After Man On Bike Shoots 3

All three victims were men in their early 40s and are listed in stable condition.

UPDATE: Sunday, May 28: Police have released surveillance footage that shows the suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of three men in Chelsea early Saturday morning. Initially, police said there were three victims in the shooting, however a fourth victim who suffered a graze wound to the back, declined medical treatment.


CHELSEA, NY — Three men were shot in Chelsea early Saturday morning by a man on a bicycle who fled the scene, according to the NYPD.

Police say the three men, all in their early 40s, were standing on 14th street between 8th and 9th avenues when they were shot. Police responded to the scene around 3:25 a.m. and found a 42-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital and is said to be in stable condition.

Police later learned that two other men were taken to Bellevue by private means. The two men who went to the hospital on their own included a 42-year-old man who was shot in the chest and a 41-year-old man who was shot in the groin and the torso. Both men are also in stable condition.

No arrests have been made and police say the investigation is ongoing.
