New York City Weekend Events: Here Is What's On Dec. 2-4

NEW YORK, NY — It is the first weekend of December and there's plenty to do in New York City as we enter the final month of the year.
From going to a holiday parade in Brooklyn or Queens, to heading to a free concert in Lower Manhattan, there are lots of options for those looking to get out of the house this weekend.

Saturday
Brooklyn's 3rd Annual Santa Land Parade: Crown Heights, Brooklyn
The 3rd Annual Santa Land Parade will kick off at 11 a.m. at Washington and Atlantic Avenues with marching bands, motorcycle clubs, clowns, old-school cars, and local law enforcement.

Santa will ride high on a fire truck throughout the procession.

Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular: Midtown Manhattan
There is possibly no more famous holiday show in New York City than the Rockette's Christmas spectacular and there are five show times you can pick from on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.
As always, the iconic dance moves are taking place in Radio City.

Sunday
Parade on Rockaway: Jamaica, Queens
The annual parade will kick off at 5 p.m. with floats, Christmas joy, a light show, and fun giveaways.
The parade was born after the Queens neighborhood was decimated by Hurricane Sandy, and the procession was used as a sign of hope for the community.

FDNY Santa Rescue: Lower Manhattan
Even Santa needs help sometimes, and the FDNY firetruck will have its annual rescue of Old Saint Nick from the roof of the New York City Fire Museum.
The rescue will happen at noon sharp so make sure you're there a little early.

Washington Square Music Festival: Lower Manhattan
A festive chamber ensemble will take the stage for a free concert during the Washington Square Music Festival at St. Mark's Church on 131 E. 10th St.
The music festival starts at 4 p.m., and will also feature songs by a Drag Queen.

Brooklyn Conservator Community Orchestra Concert: Brooklyn Heights
The popular community orchestra will perform music by Copeland, Debussy and Farrenc from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church at 157 Montague St.
The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music aims to transform lives and build community through the expressive, educational and therapeutic powers of music.
