Score A $858-A-Month Studio In This Chelsea High-Rise

107 affordable units are up for grabs in the 88-story Hudson Yards skyscraper.

CHELSEA, NY — More than 100 affordable apartments are up for grabs inside an 88-story luxury tower in Hudson Yards — where applicants can snag a studio for $858 a month.

The skyscraper boasts multi-million dollar condos, acres of outdoor space on its doorstep, high-end shops and upscale restaurants. A chunk of the some 4,000 units created by the $20 billion Hudson Yards mega-project, developed by Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group, are devoted to affordable housing.

The first of the project's housing lotteries has kicked off at 15 Hudson Yards with 107 affordable units up for grabs through the city's affordable housing program.

A mix of studios, one- and two-bedroom units are available.

Single residents who earn between $31,303 and $36,550 a year can apply for studios at the tower that rent for $858 per month, while those earning $37,578 up to $43,860 can land a studio for $1,041 per month, according to the income requirements.

On the high end of the spectrum a family earning between $40,218 and $52,150 can snag a two-bedroom pad for $1,115, or those with the same household size making $48,275 to $62,580 can apply for a $1,350 two- bedroom unit, notes the lottery listing.

The building offers amenities including a 24-hour attended lobby, an on-site resident manager, a fitness center, children's playroom and a laundry room.

Applications for the affordable units can be found here. The deadline to apply is Dec. 13. Preference for half of the apartments will be given to current residents of Manhattan Community Board 4.
