
COMMACK, NY – A 16-year-old boy was struck by a car in Commack Friday night, Suffolk Police said.
According to police, a 69-year-old Commack man was driving a 2003 Jaguar X-Type southbound on Kings Park Road when he struck the teen, who may have been crossing the road from east to west, at approximately 7:20 p.m.
The pedestrian, a Chinese national attending school in the United States and residing in Commack, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital in serious but stable condition. The driver was not injured.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
