Scott's Five Star Meat Center Of Commack Named Best Butcher On LI

COMMACK, NY — Scott's Five Star Meat Center of Commack was named Best Butcher on Long Island in the 2025 FourLeaf Best of Long Island Awards.

The butcher, located at 1155 Jericho Turnpike, has been part of the Commack community for 20 years. Scott Starr, owner and president of the meat center, said being voted best butcher on Long Island by local residents has "meant everything."

"It’s amazing to know so many people took time out of their days to continue to vote for us," Starr told Patch. "It’s very humbling."

This year marked the first time that Scott's Five Star Meat Center won the award.

Starr believes the quality of both the shop's meat and service "really got us over the hump" this year. The store has also effectively started to gain a social media presence, Starr said.

Product quality, Starr said, makes Scott's Five Star Meat Center stand out as the best.

"From the homemade salads and pot pies made by our chef, Paul; our USDA prime meats and Grade A poultry," Starr said. "We really want to give our customers the best, because they are the best."

The Starr family thanked everyone for their "unwavering support and dedication to choosing a family run shop to go for their meats."
