Advance Auto Parts Opening in Commack

Advance Auto Parts, Inc. will be opening its first Commack location at 6145 Jericho Turnpike on Feb. 22.

The auto shop carries parts, batteries, accessories and maintenance items and offers a range of free services including windshield wiper and battery installation.

Owners decided on the Jericho Turnpike location due to its proximatity to its customers and car garages where residents take their vehicles for repairs.

General Manager Huey Barna will work with nine other team members at the new location. A 10-year veteran of the automotive and retail sales industries, Barna has been with the company for two and a half years. He is ASE-certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.

“Advance Auto Parts is committed to bringing our promise - service is our best part – to life not only for our customers, but also in the communities where our customers and Team Members live," he said.

To meet his commitment, the store has already made a $1,000 donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The store will also be a drop off location for recycling used motor oil and batteries.

Once open, the store hours will be Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Advance Auto Parts will be competing with Pep Boys, located less than a mile down the road.
