Brentwood Man Arrested for Fatal Stabbing at Howard Johnson

Police say Carlos J. Rodriguez fatally stabbed a Brentwood man and injured another outside of the Howard Johnson in Commack in November.

A Brentwood man was arrested Friday for during a large fight at the motel in Nov. 201o, according to Suffolk County police. 

Carlos J. Rodriguez, 20, was charged with second degree murder for the death of 18-year-old Stanley Davis, of Brentwood. He was also charged with second degree assault for stabbing 20-year-old Jason Iglesias. Iglesias suffered non-life threatening injuries during the fight, which broke out in two rooms of the motel at approximately 4:20 a.m. on November 13, 2010.

A third victim, Curtis Johnson, 21, also of Brentwood, sustained head injuries during the brawl.

Rodriguez will be held in custody until his arraignment in Suffolk County Court in Riverhead on Feb. 22.
