Commack Alum Honored By Glamour Magazine
Project HEAL co-founder Liana Rosenman named among "21 Amazing Young Women of 2011."

Commack native Liana Rosenman has been chosen by Glamour as one of the magazine's Amazing Young Women of 2011.
Rosenman, 20, was chosen for the list due to her work with Project HEAL, an organization that raises scholarships for young people suffering from eating disorders who cannot afford residential treatment.
Rosenman co-founded Project HEAL with 19-year-old Kristina Saffran, who was also named to the list. The pair met while both were undergoing treatment for anorexia.

In addition to fundraising, Rosenman and Saffran also serve as public speakers and advocates for raising awareness of the dangers of eating disorders and poor body image.
To date, Project HEAL has raised mroe than $160,000 and have awarded scholarships to five young patients.
