Commack Students Heading to National History Competition
The Middle School trio has already won the regional and state History Day competition.

A Commack Middle School trio are heading to Maryland to compete in the National History Day competition.
Talia Dubois, a seventh grade student and Julianna Jacobs and Carissa Schuette, both in sixth grade, won the National History Day regional competition in March and took first place at the state level for their project of the Hershey Effect.
On June 9, the young history buffs will compete against thousands of other students at the National Competition at College Park at the University of Maryland in the 2013 Kenneth E. Behring National History Day Contest, where only the top two projects from each state in their category can advance.
