The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
- Police pulled over Michael Hendel, 45, of Commack, July 27, after he was spotted driving a 2012 Toyota sedan on the side of Deer Park Road in Dix Hills with only three tires and the rim where the fourth was supposed to be, at 3:35 a.m. Hendel was arrested for DWI, a misdemeanor.
- Rodolfo Alvarez, 23, of Central Islip, was arrested in Commack on a charge of aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor, which indicates a blood alcohol level of above .18. Police said Alvarez was driving a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer on Vanderbilt Motor Parkway July 25 at 11:41 p.m. when he was involved in a crash with the driver of a Honda Accord. Police did not indicate if there were any injuries.
