Indian Head Road Closed For Several Hours Following Early Morning Crash

The exit off Sunken Meadow Parkway was opened at 11:15 a.m. following a 6:51 a.m. collision on Indian Head Road between a Toyota Camry and Truck carrying a trailer filled with bonding liquid.

At 6:51 a.m. on Wednesday, a Toyota Camry crashed into a truck carrying a trailer of bonding liquid, heading northbound on Indian Head Road towards the Sunken Meadow Parkway entrance, Suffolk County Police reported. 

Police blocked off the northbound side of Indian Hollow Road, with traffic on the southbound side flowing at a normal rate. Traffic was blocked off from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., police said. 

The bonding liquid spilled onto the street, and the Department of Environmental Protection Agency responded to the site as well. One person was transported to with minor injuries, police said.
