This year marks the 10 year anniversary of the tragedies and loss of life that occurred on September 11, 2001. To remember and to honor the heroes of 9-11, the Commack School District would like to add a special touch to our community to commemorate that day.
If you would like to purchase a 3’x5’ American Flag with a yellow ribbon that says “9-11 Remembrance,” please fill out the coupon below. Each sponsor’s name will be attached to the flag. The flags will be displayed along Scholar Lane for all of September. In early
October, all flags will be sent to the sponsor. Sponsors (individuals, families, businesses, schools, organizations) are welcome to show their patriotism through a flag purchase.
Any funds raised through this event will be donated to Dollars for Scholars in memory of those who died on 9-11 and Commack High School graduate (2004) Justin Wilson, who died in Afghanistan. We will also make a donation to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
